We offer the Talkeetna River with a 4 day /3 night itinerary.
We spend two days in the upper river, one day of Class 3 and 4 whitewater in Talkeetna Canyon and one day on the lower river floating to Talkeetna.
On the upper river we stop at Prairie Creek, known for its excellent fishing as well as bear sightings.
On the last night we camp near Disappointment Creek.
We depart Disappiontment Creek in the morning, arriving back in Talkeetna in the afternoon.

The following schedule is a sample 4 day itinerary.
All Talkeetna River trips require that you meet us in Talkeetna the evening prior to Day 1 for pre-trip orientation meeting and packing for an early departure the next day. We can help with arrangements for lodging and transport to Talkeetna. It’s no problem, just ask.
Day 1 Early moring start. Fly in to raft launch at Yellowjacket Creek or Buck Stewarts air strip, Raft approx. 5-10 miles and camp out that night.
Day 2 Arrive Prairie Creek area for fishing, hiking and camp there that night
Day 3 Whitewater thru Talkeetna Canyon, camp at Disappointment Creek
Day 4 Morning departure from Disappointment Creek and float in to Talkeetna (afternoon arrival with fishing opportunities on the float to town).

Upon reserving a Talkeetna trip we will contact you with the meeting place depending on which air charter firm we are using.

For all multi-day trips, please book your trip at least 30 days in advance.
We will require a 50% deposit at the time of booking and full payment 30 days in advance.
Upon receipt of your deposit, we will contact you to confirm the reservation and detail what we provide, what to bring, and rendezvous locations.
